Collection: CARDOLAN
Among the clouds and Andean mountains of the Colombian Eastern Cordillera lies their farm, surrounded by vast hectares of primary cloud forest and natural springs that they are dedicated to protecting. Their Corriedale and Merino flock produces fine and soft wool, perfect for keeping individuals warm throughout their lives.
The Process: Their wool is sheared, spun, dyed, and woven manually, primarily by women artisans. People can rest assured knowing that they dye their wool by hand. They mainly use dyes extracted from plants, roots, and fruits native to the region, such as walnut, lichen, oak, divi-divi, and annatto, as well as other plant sources.
With the purchase of their products, individuals contribute to providing additional income for these women and their families, while also helping to preserve centuries-old traditions of wool craftsmanship.
